SMK Budi Utomo Kertosono memang baru saja berdiri, yaitu berdiri mulai tahun 2019. Namun, di usia yang relatif muda  SMK Budi Utomo Kertosono terus dan selalu ingin untuk berbenah diri agar menjadi sekolah yang bisa mengemban amanat yang diberikan para orang tua pada guru karyawan. Termasuk setelah kegiatan sumatif  tengah semester/ penilaian tengah semester di SMK Budi Utomo Kertosono telah diadakan Workshop/ pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi di semua program keahlian.

Sebagai usaha untuk peningakatan itu, SMK Budi Utomo Kertosono telah mengundang guru tamu atau instruktur untuk program  keahlian desain komunikasi visual/DG, kuliner/tata boga, TKR, dan desain produksi busana/ tata busana. Hal ini dimaksudkan agar guru tamu dan instruktur mau untuk berbagi ilmu untuk peserta didik, guru, dan pemangku kepentingan di sekolah.

Kegiatan guru tamu dan instruktur telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Oktober – 13 Oktober 2023. Program keahlian Desain Komunikasi Visual/DG bekerja sama dengan LDII TV, Teknik Kendaraan Ringan bekerja sama dengan BM Kurnia Kediri, Kuliner/tata boga bekerja sama dengan PT Pentol Oye Nganjuk, desain produksi busana/ tata busana bekerja sama dengan Azzh Fashion Kediri. Semoga kegiatan ini bisa membawa kemanfaatan untuk sekolah dan peserta didik, aamiin (ajos).
